How did we get there?

Our story

In 2014 six ambitious people gathered together to establish a company called MB Šeši Partneriai. Since then, a team of experienced engineers and physicists started providing scientific research services in physical sciences field.

While working at one of the projects at Oncology hospital, the critical problem preventing efficient brachytherapy treatment was found. Doctors were lack of real work accurate patient data. This realization sparked the idea for BrachyDOSE - a data-driven, patient-centric approach to improve patient care.

The team’s successful participation in Demo day Kaunas Start-ups Acceleration programme in 2018 encouraged to continue developing product for brachytherapy.

A few years later, in 2021, the company was re-named to UAB Albametrics. Since then, the team has successfully participated in various acceleration programmes for startups and completed a number of med-tech projects.

In January 2024 UAB BrachyDOSE was established as an independent startup.

BrachyDOSE team continues working in brachytherapy field to help cancer patients and serve hospitals.

BrachyDOSE is a new product created by the team. It is a unique hardware and software mixed system suited to prevent radiation caused injuries at  high-dose rate brachytherapy treatment.

BrachyDOSE is a Horizon 2020 Seal of Excellence holder, the winner of Kaunas Startup Accelerator and beneficiary of EIT Health InnoStars Award.
